Now adays, more and more fruit juice products are packed in spout doypacks, that helps juice manufacturers to open another channel to meet consumer need and find their way to increase. Indeed, many of our customers realize rapid increase from spout doypacks packaging.

However, when we look closer into spout doypacks, it can never be so this easy that you find a spout doypack and fill your juice products into it, and then rapid sale.

The most important always is to cut into the right market with the right package, and here we are going to talke about the most common used spout doypacks in the market.

1) Cheap Plastic Spout Pouch

This plastic spout bags are usually produced for Africa or Middle East customers with very lower price, suitable for short time package, like 1-3 months. It can never be intended for longer shelf life and severe pasteurization conditions.

The common structure for this bag is PET/PE or PA/PE (higher price), that is able to stand up well. (Please note BOPP/PE pouch will not be able to stand up well on shelves)

2) Nylon 3-layer Plastic Spout Pouch

The structure for this spout pouch is PET/NY/PE, that will provide better barrier perforance for juice products, usually 5-6 months shelf life.

3) Metallized Film Spout Pouch

Metallized film is usuall short for vacuum aluminum metallized film, that means to deposit a thin layer of aluminum atoms onto the surface of the plastic substrate film, that will highly improve the barrier property however at very lower costs.

So if you need to prolong the shelf life of the juice products and at the same time, not so higher costs, metallized film spout pouch is the best choice.

It is also very easy to tell a metallized film pouch, when you look at the bottom, when it shiny metallic, it can be considered as the metallized film pouch.

When used for packing juice, metallized film pouch can usually provide shelf life 6-9 months.

4) Aluminum Foil Spout Pouch

Aluminum foil spout pouch is the most common used for juice packaging, as it provide the best barrier property and longest shelf life for juice products, usually consider as 1 year after sufficient pasteurization.

Important Note:

When it comes to shelf life, it can never be only evaluated by the package itself, as the shelf life is affected by many factors, like pasteurization, filling process, outside weather conditions etc. So, please do ensure sufficient pasteurization for your juice and proper operation in juice production.
